Joshua Stephens is Sub-Organist at Winchester Cathedral, where he accompanies the world acclaimed cathedral choirs, alongside directing the Cathedral Girl Choristers, and Chamber Choir. As an organist and conductor, he has broadcast live on BBC Radio 3, performed on national television, and guest conducted the City of London Sinfonia, Fretwork, and The Sixteen.
As a solo recitalist, Joshua is acclaimed, with performances at Westminster Abbey, Wells, Hereford, Truro, Liverpool Anglican and Metropolitan Cathedrals, Selby Abbey (Celebrity Recital Series), and Leeds Town Hall (Leeds International Concert Series). He has collaborated with actress Maxine Peake in Manchester International Festival The Masque of Anarchy, featured on Netflix The Crown soundtrack, and has participated in numerous masterclasses, most notably with Jacques van Oortmerssen, and Olivier Latry.

Prior to his role at Winchester Cathedral, Joshua was founding Director of Music at Steel City Choristers, Assistant and Acting Director of Music at Sheffield Cathedral, and Second Assistant Organist at Wells Cathedral. He studied the organ at the Royal Northern College of Music with Darius Battiwalla and Thomas Trotter.
